Nos ponemos en contacto contigo para invitarte a participar en la exposición que, con motivo del Día Internacional para la Eliminación de la Violencia contra la Mujer, que se celebra el 25 de noviembre, estamos preparando la Asociación Cultural Viñeta 6 y la Concejalía de Juventud del Ayto. de Jaén.

Si quieres colaborar, tan sólo tienes que enviar tus trabajos en formato DIN A3 a 300 ppp, ya sea en color o en blanco y negro, por correo electrónico por duplicado a las siguientes direcciones:

La fecha límite de recepción de obras es el viernes 3 de noviembre (durante todo el día).

Temáticas: Violencia de género, Igualdad de género...

No se trata de un concurso, así que no nos importa si la viñeta ha sido premiada o si se ha utilizado ya en alguna otra expo. Tan sólo queremos darle visibilidad a los problemas de violencia e igualdad de género. Cualquier ayuda es bien recibida.

Para facilitar la identificación te rogamos que indiques tu nombre y el título de la obra en el nombre de archivo.

Nosotros nos encargamos de la impresión y de mantenerte al tanto. Intentaremos hacer catálogo, pero la cosa está complicada, así que no podemos prometer más que le daremos toda la difusión posible a la expo y que ntentaremos moverla.

Por supuesto, los derechos de autor son de cada uno de los mismos, si bien podría utilizarse alguna de las obras recibidas para la difusión y publicidad del evento, por supuesto, citando siempre a su autor.

Award Grants:   The following provisions govern the granting of      THE UNITED NATIONS/RANAN LURIE POLITICAL CARTOON AWARDS The names of the winners of our thirteen prizes will be published on December 15, 2017, on this web site, together with their winning cartoons: First prize, of us$10,000 and a plaque. Second prize, of us$5,000 and a plaque. Third prize, of us$3,000 and a plaque. Ten honorable mention plaques granted by THE UNITED NATIONS/RANAN LURIE POLITICAL CARTOON AWARDS COMMITTEE All winning entries will be announced via the worldwide press and on this website on December 15, 2017. All winners' prizes, either financial and/or plaques, will be sent via U.S. registered mail by December 31, 2017, to the winners.    Rules for Exhibits: 1. Entries must be submitted in writing and addressed to THE UNITED NATIONS/RANAN LURIE POLITICAL CARTOON AWARDS 25 Columbus Circle New York, NY 10019 (No phone or fax calls or Emails, please). Entries for awards must be received on or before November 15, 2017, and represent work done from the beginning of September 2016, to the 15th of October 2017, reflecting the importance of human dignity, mutual respect and friendship among nations, as well as economic consideration and environmental responsibilities towards each other. While cartoonists may send in what ever they please, the contest does not encourage maligning member nations. Winning cartoons will be chosen for their high professional standards in art, political analysis of events, projection of events to come, humor, while also reflecting the spirit and principles of the U.N. 2. Theme: On the road

During the exhibition Kerouac. Beat Painting organized at the Museo Maga in Gallarate from
December 2017 to April 2018 "Humor in Gallarate" chooses as the theme for the XXIII edition
the title of his most famous novel. The pictorial and graphic works of one of the 20th century
literary icons, Father of Beat Generation, will be exhibited for the first time in Italy, and "On
the Road" will also be the leading line in the show of the selected cartoon.
Regulations

1) The contest is open to all professional cartoonists, caricaturists, illustrators and graphic
artists from all over the world.
2) The competition is divided into three sections: A) Graphic humor B) Satire | C) Caricature
Each participant can submit up to three works, one for each section, specifying the title
3) Theme: On the Road
4) The works must be UNPUBLISHED, accompanied by the participation card, biography and
photo. Any work already published on paper or on the web will automatically be excluded from
the assignement of prizes.
5) Size: A4 (21 x 29,7 cm)
6) Technique: Free.
The artworks Works can be made with any technique, including digital techniques.
7) The artworks could be send in two ways: A) Sending the artworks’ original | B) Electronic

personal information (name, surname, address), title and technique. The works,

IMPORTANT: In the event of awarding a prize, the winner is required to send the
original work that will become part of the "Humor at Gallarate Collection". In case of digital
artwork, the author is required to send an high-definition print with the "unique copy" caption.
8) Deadline: 12.00 PM December 15, 2017

The Jury will meet Saturday, December 16, 2017
9) Prizes: the Jury will assign the following prizes:

 Grand Prix "Marco Biassoni" for the best artwork among all the sections
(Graphics/Cartoon, Satire, Caricature) - 1.000 € + diploma
 1st Prize – 500 € + diploma for each section
 One special Mention of Jury – Diploma for each section
 5 mention of honor for each
 “Cava Prize” 500 € + diploma. The special "Cava Award" named after Osvaldo
Cavandoli, creator of the celebrated "La Linea" character, will be assigned to the
artwork that, chosen from all the sections, will combine the beauty of humorous,
satirical or caricatural content with the essence of the core graphic execution.

10) Jury: The selection of works and the awarding of prizes is exclusive jurisdiction of the
Jury, appointed by the Pro Loco Gallarate, which will meet on December 16, 2017 in Gallarate.
The jury's decision is final and unquestionable.
11) Exhibition: from January 21, 2018 at Maga Museum (Gallarate).
There will be also Marilena Nardi’s solo art exhibition.
Opening ceremony: Sunday, January 21, 2018, at 11:00 AM
All authors who will attend the opening ceremony are invited to a rustic lunch.
12) Catalogue: Each selected author, exhibited in shows and published in the catalog, will
receive a complimentary copy of the same
13) Property and rights: the Organizers reserve the rights to reproduce the cartoons in
catalogue, newspapers, or posters to promote the Contest and to exhibit a selection of works
in other locations in Italy or other countries. None of works will be returned but will be
included in the "Humour Gallarate Collection".
By submitting the artworks, the author accepts the rules and regulations of the Contest and
the decisions of the Jury.

"El humor aquí y allá" Peridis-Arcadio

El día 19 de octubre de 2017, a las 19 horas, se realizará un encuentro-conversación entre Arcadio Esquivel Mayorga, de Costa Rica y José María Pérez (Peridis), en Casa de América.

¿Cuál es la situación del humor en la actualidad en ambos países? ¿Qué temas se abordan desde el humor? ¿Tiene límites el humor? ¿Quién le pone límites al humor?

A todo esto y mucho más contestarán nuestros invitados.
Ambos irán dando un repaso a la actualidad a través del humor, marcando las diferencias que existen a ambos lados del Atlántico. La conferencia promete entretener y hacer disfrutar al público con las diferentes visiones de estos dos artistas.

• Con motivo del Día Internacional de la Niña, celebrado el pasado 11 de octubre, hemos creado una campaña de sensibilización junto a la Fundación Vicente Ferrer, con la colaboración de la Concejalía de Igualdad del Ayuntamiento de Alcalá de Henares.

"El futuro lo dibujan las niñas" es el proyecto en el que participan más de 30 ilustradores del ámbito nacional, a través de la cual queremos dar visibilidad a las millones de niñas que sufren día a día, para romper con el ciclo de la violencia y la discriminación.

Visíta la web "Ellas dibujan el futuro" creada para la difusión de la campaña, y sigue las últimas actualizaciones que se irán realizando hasta el 25 de noviembre.

Inauguración de la XXIV Muestra Internacional de las Artes del Humor

Te recordamos que este jueves 14 de septiembre a las 13 horas se inaugura la XXIV Muestra Internacional de las Artes del Humor en el Antiguo Hospital de Santa María la Rica (Alcalá de Henares), con la apertura de tres exposiciones, que estarán disponibles hasta el 29 de octubre.

Las exposiciones son Vaya Trumpazo!, Humor Joven Chino y La Sátira, esa prensa. Además, están ya abiertas al público las exposiciones Iconos del Humorismo Mexicano en La Fábrica del Humor y De políticos y otros animales, de Ricardo Martínez, en la Fundación Diario Madrid.

Próximamente daremos a conocer el programa completo de actividades de esta XXIV Muestra, que incluye presentaciones de libros, talleres, fiesta de la caricatura...

LES EXPOSITIONS "HISTORIQUES" :
Deux rétrospectives présentées par Guillaume Doizy
- "Clémenceau en caricatures": Médecin, journaliste, homme politique, écrivain, ministre, président du Conseil en 1917, celui qui fut le « père la Victoire » après s’être imposé comme « tombeur des ministères » et « premier flic de France », a marqué son temps. Surnommé « le Tigre », personnage complexe, Georges Clemenceau a déchaîné la verve des dessinateurs de presse des années 1870 jusqu’à sa mort en 1929.
- "le dessinateur de presse de 1830 à nos jours", de Daumier à Charlie L’attentat du 7 janvier 2015 a mis un coup de projecteur sur le métier de dessinateur de presse, nous interrogeant soudain sur le rôle du caricaturiste, sur la question de la liberté d’expression et de ses limites.

- Une exposition proposée par Jacky Houdré "Dessinateurs de presse, créateurs de journaux, de Philipon à Siné".
Dès les débuts de la presse illustrée des dessinateurs, parfois associés à des journalistes ou des collègues, fondent des journaux. Le plus souvent il s’agit d’avoir un support pour défendre des engagements politiques, de disposer d’un lieu pour publier sans contrainte son propre travail, de gagner sa vie dans l’édition en complément du dessin...

LES EXPOSITIONS "JEUNE PUBLIC" :

- "Véronique Deiss et les 20 ans de son chat assassin":
Le journal d’un chat assassin, adapté par Véronique Deiss, d’après le texte de Anne Fine.

- "Les gastéropotes" de Michel Burdin
Petits gags en strips, dessins ou pages, dont les personnages sont des escargots. Le troisième album, “Tout va trop vite”, vient tout juste de sortir...

- La laïcité s'affiche", en collaboration avec la Ligue de l'Enseignement: projet coopératif en arts plastiques lancé au salon 2016, dans lequel les élèves ont été amenés à réaliser une affiche autour du thème de la laïcité et explorer les valeurs de la République. L'ensemble de la production sera exposée au salon.

Hello everybody
Most of you have already heard of Saint Just Le Martel and our restless work for the promotion of press cartoons and caricatures.
We will this year celebrate the .... 36th birthday of our annual Salon.
The Center Permanent, inaugurated in September 2011, has already hosted numerous prestigious exhibitions (this year, for example, "expo WILLEM / VUILLEMIN", followed by "CABU, le presidential journal") and we are responding to growing sollicitations from France as well as from Abroad.
This success, as you already know, is due to the quality and diversity of our exhibitions, the conducted research work, the seriousness or organization, the solid experience accumulated over time, the presentation of works quality , And the quality of the visitor reception.
All in all, it is largely due to the trust we share with cartoonists, the great friendships built up over the years, and the collaborations initiated and still developed with the most prominent experts in the field ...
Our success also comes from the very nature of this organization, with the remarkable involvement of the most prominent names of cartooning, the outstanding commitment of many volunteers,
Those of you who were persent for the last edition have witnessed their new success both in terms of quality and attendance.

1. Participation

The competition is open to all artists (Picture book artist,Illustrator, Cartoonist, Comic artist, Caricaturist, Printmaker and Painter) regardless of nationality, age, sex, etc:

1> illustrators, including professionals and newcomers, submitting unpublished works or works of published.

2> art colleges submitting projects produced by their students in the last four years of study.

3> publishers presenting their illustrators.

4. Entries

1) The works whether they have been awarded in other contests previously will be accepted.

2) 8 original illustrations (minimum number), produced using any technique, including computer graphics (in case of mixed technique, please send both original drawings and printouts of the ultimate artwork).

3) The minimum 8 -- maximum 100 entries should be submitted for each category.These works form a story.Work is only allowed in Chinese or English. Words can't appear in works. If you need to writing, must be in English(or Chinese), writing the other a piece of paper .English(or Chinese) words according to the serial number order of works to write clearly.

4) The works should be accompanied by the author's resume and photo (or caricature).

6) Technique and medium of works are unlimited. Any painting, Print making, Traditional Chinese Painting, Oil painting, Watercolor, Crafts art or sculpture will be accepted.

8. Judgment

1) The jury committee is composed of artists, press editors,illustrators,cartoonist.

2) The jury meeting will be held on December, 2017.

3) The committee will announce the result on January, 2018 on web site. At the same time organizer will contact the winning artists via postal mail or email.

10. Copyright 

Explicitly participators have whole copyright for their entries. The committee has the right to use all the submitted works to spread competition on media, websites, posters, post cards, advertisements, etc.

11. Catalog

The authors whose works has been selected will receive one copy of the catalog made for the  competition.

12. Provisions

1) The submitted works will not be returned. They will be exhibited and displayed in Redman International Cartoon House. 

2) Participation in the contest means the complete acceptance of all the above conditions and agreements with jury's decision.

Ha fallecido Manolo García

Con sumo pesar tengo que daros la triste noticia de la muerte -en fecha reciente - de Manolo García al que conocimos, especialmente, a través de sus catálogos que de forma personal hice llegar  a los que pude. También por sus colaboraciones en las dos últimas ediciones de HUMOR SOCIAL.

Manolo García había nacido en 1938 y desde muy temprana edad manifestó su afición por el dibujo y por el mundo de la historieta, pero no es hasta su jubilación cuando pudo hacer realidad los proyectos que tenía en mente. Por su cuenta y sin ningún tipo de ayuda económica, puso en escena diversos catálogos (en muchas ocasiones acompañdos de exposiciones) dedicados a ilustres dibujantes de tebeos como fueron Manuel Gago, Miguel Ambrosio "Ambrós", los hermanos Blasco Jesús, Pili, Alejandro y Adriano, Emilio Freixas y su hijo Carlos y Roc Riera Rojas. Tenía en imprenta un último catálogo consagrado en gran parte a Paco Roca, que por quedar inacabado, no verá la luz.

Manolo para su trabajo, contó con la ayuda de los familiares de los ilustradores citados y también con otros profesionales (incluida la mía) -todos amigos- relacionados con el mundo del tebeo. pero el mayor esfuerzo en la edición de los citados catálogos corrió por su cuenta, lo que le producía un gran estrés.  Tenía un corazón débil que le avisó en una primera ocasión; por desgracia no pudo resistir la segunda. Descanse en paz.
